A Week of Clean Eating

It’s been a week since I started Noom. I’m here to report it’s been much easier than I anticipated. I attribute that to the support the app gives me every day…several times a day. And physically, I feel completely different. My memory is a little better, I think. I know I feel clearer, if that makes any sense. I mood is stable. I’m sleeping soundly. And I am not at all hungry. As a matter of fact, I have to force myself to get enough calories to meet the minimum requirements.

The weight isn’t falling off fast, but overall I’m down 2-3 pounds. I finally got a new scale, however I left it home so while I’m here at the farm, I’ll have to make do with what’s here. I have been getting more exercise. I went for two walks yesterday after the rain stopped. It really poured for several hours with lightening and thunder. I slept through most of it till Mr. FixIt called around 10:30! I’m loving the meals I’ve been making. Lots of roughage! Lots of color! Lots of water! Here are my plates from lunch and dinner yesterday. So, so yummy.

Breakfast was two eggs, over easy. 1/4 each of green, yellow, and red peppers, 8 grapes, about two tbsp. of blueberries, and 2 tbsp. cottage cheese. Dinner was two boneless skinless chicken thighs, 1/2 baked potato with 1 tbsp. sour cream, 1/4 head of steamed cauliflower, and marinated red and yellow pepper strips. I usually like to dip my veggies in Ranch Dressing, but I would rather have more food for those calories. So I put the strips of peppers in a coffee tumbler and added 1 teaspoon of Brianna’s French Vinagrette over them and shook them up to coat. It was perfect…you get the flavor without all the unnecessary calories!

I took a ton of pictures when I was on my walkabouts yesterday. I went up behind the barn a good ways and saw the three waterfalls. I managed to stand in a place where I could get all three in one picture. Mr. FixIt was planning on coming out yesterday to work on the pump and try to figure out what’s going on with the telephone line. I also want to get the hot water heater lit. We need to check the exhaust pipe to make sure there are no bird nests in it. If we get those things done, then we’ve made great progress.

I was a lovely and relaxing Sunday. I don’t miss the television one bit, but I’m sure glad my sweetheart is coming to see me today! Enjoy my photos!

“He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”

Wildflowers after a spring rain are probably one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen!
