Thank You, God!

“When that day comes, you won’t ask me any more questions. I can guarantee this truth: If you ask the Father for anything in my name, he will give it to you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭16:23‬ ‭GW‬‬

The doctor came in and said all the worrisome tissue was removed and from his experience, he was sure the tumor is benign. No lifting or raising my arms for a few days. No shower for 48 hours then just gentle cleansing for two weeks. The skin was closed with SuperGlue with dissolving stitches in the layers below. No riding mower, pool, or hot tub for two weeks. I have to wear a tight sports bra for support and compression for the next few weeks.

On the way home, there was a terribly hard rain with localized flooding. We went north to take the interstate and avoid the flooded roads in town. As soon as we pulled on the highway, it started raining so hard the windshield wipers could not keep up. There were cars pulled off with their flashers on. We turned ours on and crept along. I grabbed the cross I have hanging in the truck and said, “Jesus! Take this storm away!!!” I kid you not, we didn’t drive fifty more feet and the sky immediately lightened up and the rain nearly stopped!

We stopped on the way home and bought ice cream. The surgeon told me he had injected the surgical site with lidocaine so it wouldn’t smack me with pain when I first woke up. By the time we got home it was wearing off, so I ate my ice cream, took a pain pill, and went to bed. The pathology report will be back by the middle of next week then I follow up with the surgeon a couple of days before I head to Colorado.

When we got home, there was NO water in the basement!

Thank you all so much for your love and prayers.

God is SO good!!! ❤️

  1. I am so glad that your biopsy appears to be benign. Wish they all were. I hate cancer. And it’s not just faith that gives benign reports, as you know many faithful fight this disease. Sometimes they beat it. Sometimes not. But when cancer *wins*, we know where our faithful friends end up…in the arms of Jesus!

    1. So true, Jamie. Cancer isn’t a punishment. It is nondiscriminatory….it can effect anyone, any where, anytime. Will breathe a tad bit easier when the report comes in, but I’m glad it’s out. ❤️

  2. Praise the Lord. I’m so glad it turned out good. GOD IS GOOD. He hears and answers prayers, AMEN!!! You take care, rest and heal. Love you Marshmallow Lady!! ❤& ??

  3. Praise be to God !!!
What wonderful news for this Friday morning.
Have a spectacular weekend Ginny and get plenty of rest ❤

  4. Ginny, I love your posts and my only regret is that you are not my neighbor! I will be praying for a good result! Cancer is not fun, and I surely would not want to see you go through it. Tell Mr. Fix-it that I am praying for him too! Much love!
