Back to Mr. FixIt

My poor sweetie has played second fiddle for two weeks while Little was here. We did things together…sure. But he had to share and he’s not used to that. We drove to Columbus to take Little to the airport. I was able to accompany them to the gate and wait till the plane took off and there’s a great website where you can actually watch the plane fly across the country on a map in real time. As I’m writing this, they are 180 miles away from DIA. The things they can do these days!

We decided to stay overnight in the Columbus area because it was a long day and I didn’t want to make that drive home after dark. We stayed near the Easton Mall which is tres chic…although the hotel we chose was anything but. It was clean, but dated. I never could get the internet to work, but the 5G finally started working better so it was fine.

I’m telling you what, I love that grandchild of mine, but there is a reason God doesn’t give 15-year-olds to 69-year-olds. I am fried. I told Mr. FixIt that I would need a week to recuperate! lol I wouldn’t trade the time with little for anything in the world. We did SO much in those two weeks but we have to fit a lot in. We’re already thinking about what we’re going to do the next visit!

So, I’m going to enjoy the day today with Mr. FixIt. We’ll go exploring and meander our way home. Or…maybe we’ll make a bee line and get home in time to mow! It rained all week and the grass is so thick and deep, I’m going to have to cut it at half the height I usually do, then go back over it the next day. Otherwise, I risk breaking the belt on the mower deck.

At this time of year, there is so much to do…all the time. We really have no choice but to buckle down and get it done! I hope you are enjoying your lovely weekend. I sure loved taking you along with us on Nana and Littles’s Excellent Adventure! It was a lot of fun!!!

UPDATE: Little landed safely at 10:12pm! Thank you for all your prayers.
