Yes…I Went to Town…AGAIN!

You know how it is when you’re getting ready for a trip. There’s always something you have to do before you can leave. And, this time it was kind of important. Remember my three hour trip to the DMV this week? Well, I went out yesterday morning to put the new license on the little camper. I pulled out the plate and…the sticker said 2020. I looked in the envelope and there was no sticker for 2023. So, guess who had to go BACK to the DMV?

*insert eye roll and heavy sigh here*

I got the new sticker. They were kind enough to not make me sit through the whole “take a number and wait” thing. It only took a half hour or so. I had a few other errands to run and headed home to do laundry and start packing up a few things. I put the new memory foam topper on the bed and dressed it with fresh sheets. I pulled a quilt from the house to fold at the foot of the bed. The fridge is still ice cold. My friend Gail’s husband is handy with electrical issues and campers so he’s going to see if we can figure out why the fridge only works when we have it plugged into an extension cord. I bought a new GFI outlet yesterday so we’ll try that first.

Even the very best cared for camper needs a little tuneup after a while. We are so grateful the previous owners loved this little trailer and took such good care of her. We’ll do our best to show her all the love. Still thinking about a name. I don’t know if you have ever seen how one of these things fold up, but it’s seriously like origami so I’m looking for some kind of name that reflects that.

We’re off for a road trip and some time away from mowing and home responsibilities. The kitty is cared for. And I get my man alone in the woods! Life is good!
