The Gifts From God

I was in the presence of greatness last night. This young man is Joe Robinson. He grew up in the outback of Australia where the nearest street light is 40 miles away. The only thing to do when he was growing up was practice guitar. And practice, he did. He won Australia’s Got Talent when he was 16. He’ll be 24 in May. He was named one of the Top 50 guitarists by Australia’s Guitar Magazine. I’ve heard great guitarists. This young man is a guitar god! I’ve never seen anything like it. I found myself holding my breath and leaning forward to catch every note. I got teary eyed. Afterwards, I did what I always do…bought his music and got my picture taken with a young man who will someday command $100 a ticket. I smiled as he was signing my CD and told him I couldn’t wait to see him in 20 years. I’ll only be 82…I can go to concerts!

When you see someone with such obvious talent, you know this is a special gift from God. You just don’t see this very often. Google Joe Robinson. Definitely go see him if you get the chance. This was a truly remarkable night!

“His brother’s name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play stringed instruments and pipes.”

Genesis 4:21
