I love the Colorado sky. I took this the other night and couldn’t believe how beautiful it was in every direction.

I’ve actually been home for the last NINE days! Wow…I think that’s the longest stretch since I started “The Grand Adventure” on May 10th. I’ve been a busy bee, nesting in preparation for the change of seasons. I didn’t get to do my spring cleaning this year so I’ve been playing catch up this week. Thank you Deisy, Liz, and Mama Elena for your help yesterday! I just finished shampooing the carpets and I’m doing laundry. It’s beautiful outside and I am so tempted by the Siren Song of the woods. Must…stay…focused!

I have a lot of fun planned for the next couple of weeks. I am driving to Denver after work Thursday and anxiously await the arrival of my niece just back from Kuwait. I can hardly wait to get my arms around her and give her a big hug. I am picking up a friend from the airport on Saturday with lots of fun activities planned for next week.

I am amazed at how beautiful and sweet life is on this side of summer. I was so broken in March that I was certain the sun would never shine again. By the time I got to May 10th and set out on my travels, I was beginning to feel hopeful. But now? I see life with new eyes and I am so grateful for the chance to begin looking for happiness again.

Well, the next load of laundry is ready. The sun is shining, got Scotty McCreary on the radio, and a spring in my step. Look out world…I’m coming to get ya’!
