Spring is Springing Today!

This time ten years ago, I was trying to figure out how on earth I was going to survive Mr. Virgo’s death when I stumbled upon a large group of women who pulled little campers by themselves and had fun with their soul sisters. Since that’s what we were doing when he died, I went out on spring break with Daughter #1 and the two grands and bought this little gal. The Original TOW-Wanda! And look where I am today!!! Isn’t God so wonderful to bless us and carry us through the worst of times?

It’s supposed to get up to the low to mid seventies today! Wahooooo! This is more like it. I’m sure our flowering trees got bit by Ol’ Jack Frost this last week with all the hard freezes. There are still plenty of bud on them so maybe they’ll do something yet. As far as me doing anything, I was fairly unmotivated but still manage to accomplish a few things.

I was up long before Mr. FixIt and put the kettle on for tea. I worked on the project. I packed up the old refrigerator door for the Big Birdhouse. Mr. FixIt left for town after breakfast. He asked which vehicle I wanted to use to take the box to the UPS Drop Site and I mistakenly chose the Louisa the Lincoln. He was long gone to town when I tried to load the box in the car. No go. It was too big for the trunk and too big to put in the back seat. So, I’ll have to do it today.

Mr. FixIt’s trip to town entailed a stop at Lowe’s to buy all the goodies for getting the mowers up and running for the season. It doesn’t matter what he goes to town for, its going to take him forever because he runs into a hundred people he knows and they are obligate to talk for an hour or so. This doesn’t bother me in the slightest unless I’m actually waiting for him in the car. Once I’ve been sitting out there for twenty minutes, I know he’s hooked into a conversation. Sometimes I go looking for him and light a fire under him. But most of the time, I’ll keep myself busy reading or writing.

It sprinkled off and on yesterday. It was plenty warm and was supposed to gradually get warmer overnight. So I decided to stay in the camper since my camping trip was cut short. Oh who am I kidding? I’ll camp any time I possible can! For some reason, the electric isn’t coming on in the new camper and I think I’ve narrowed it down to the GFI outlet. I couldn’t get it to reset and everything else was as it should be. Now we’ll have to make another trip to town to find a replacement. Mr. FixIt seems to think he has one somewhere in the house or the “warehouse” building that is supposed to be a two car garage.

I decided to stay out in the camper anyway. I had plenty of blankets and was sure to stay warm. If not, I was only fifty feet from the door. That’s one of the upsides of “yard camping.”

We can fix this camper any time. I just need to get motivated to do some spring cleaning. Maybe I’ll get started on that today!
