Sisters on the Fly

Sisters on the Fly

What is Sisters on the Fly?

It’s the world’s largest outdoor adventure group for women. We have affected the lives of over 9,000 women from around the world. Our motto is “We have more fun than anyone!” And it’s true! Sister gatherings are jam packed with fun and we turn women into girls.

What do the Sisters do at their gatherings?

We do a number of things! Some of us fly fish. Some ride horses or mountain bikes. We love to go junkin’ and eat great food. Some hike. Some play and listen to music. Whatever floats your boat. And speaking of floating your boat, we are going to ride the sternwheeler on the Ohio River over to visit the Blennerhassett Mansion this week. We love to eat so we’re going to have an old fashioned weenie roast. My Pop-Pop whittled the end of sharp sticks for roasting weenies and marshmallows. We’ll serve them the WV way with sauce and slaw. We are playing music and listening to music and maybe even clog dance. Sisters will try just about anything!

How can I be a Sister?

You can have more fun that anyone by heading over to www.sistersonthfly.com and signing up. Dues are $70 a year and there are gatherings of every interest all around the globe.

What kind of women become Sisters on the Fly?

Bold women. Shy women. Women with campers. Women with tents. Women who prefer the lodge or a fine hotel or a cabin. Single women. Taken women. Married women. Widowed women. Young women. Old women. Key word is Women. No men. (Sorry, guys!) No kids. (Sorry, kids!) and, no pets.

These gals love to eat! I shopped yesterday. Such a wise shopper I have become. This big grocery cart ended up costing $150! I was impressed. We will see how the menu and activities go over. I’ve done the planning, the shopping and the prep. As my friend V says…it’s time for the fun! ❤️

“Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

  1. Hope you plan another event for next year so I can come from Colorado. My trailer had been stolen so I missed the big Four Corners Frolic but I plan on attending that one next year too because I have my trailer back! I love our police department. ? I want to wear those tires out traveling all across the country attending Sister events. Have fun roasting those weenies.

      1. Ginny–might be a good topic for discussion–trailer safety and security! Alarming number of FB posts about stolen canned ham trailers all over the west. Sometimes from people’s driveways but also from spots that almost invite being stolen.
Your trip sound fabulous — the getups slay me. Hope those pea shooters are not loaded . What’s with the grocery price tags? can’t be real???
