Road Trip: Day Eight…”What a Feeling!”

Altitude Adjustment

There’s nothing like feeling really good after feeling really bad. I was so miserable Wednesday…too tired, too much junk food, too much altitude, not enough water and I was laid low. Nancy, one of my Colorado readers, sent me a message yesterday first thing and suggested I try to find some “Altitude Adjustment”…a nutritional supplement that helps your body adjust to the changes our bodies go through at elevation. I don’t know the science behind it, but if they told me twirling a chicken over my head would have made me feel better, I’d have been heading to the nearest barnyard. I was willing to try anything because I didn’t want to spend another day miserable. Nancy even offered to meet me halfway to deliver some if I needed her to. I called the number on the back of the package from the picture she sent and got the name of the nearest store that carried Altitude Adjustment and took it right away. I drank three bottles of water. My son-in-law’s mom insisted I eat something and made me an egg sandwich. And within an hour, I felt great. I spent the day out with my daughter and grandchildren and last night we all got together to celebrate birthdays and an anniversary. It was a great day!

Also, my latest post on the Sisters on the Fly Blog series “Getting Bolder” went live yesterday. It is always so exciting to see that! You can catch it here…

Five Ways to Be Bolder Everyday

Thank you for your kind words of support yesterday. I never feel entirely alone with God..and all of you out there! ❤️

  1. It would be nice if we could take a dose of something called Attitude Adjustment and have it work like your antidote did !
    Lol. Just a thought!
Glad it worked and you are ” in the pink”!

    1. It might help—lol, we can get our body into a pickle over common everyday things like stress so an herbal formula might be just what our system can use. Ask your doc if there would be any harm, and try it next time you get your knickers in a twist. I take CALM, a CAlcium-Magnesium supplement, (dissolves right into my glass of water) and it does wonders on a stressful day, also helps me sleep better, no dreaded leg or toe cramps.

      1. Oh…my feet and toes were cramping something awful when I got here! Good to know about CALM. I did take Magnesium and got relief. Thanks for the recommendation! ❤️

  2. Lol!!! I was reading this while I was still half asleep this morning?‼️As I was reading “Attitude Adjustment” I was thinking why would someone tell you that you needed attitude adjustment!!! I finally caught on….I’d never heard of Altitude Adjustment…duh…??Glad it helped you!

  3. You even “sound” better!! I also read the GOTF post earlier this morning – nice to get two messages from you today!! Thanks! ?

  4. How cool;) I suffer in high altitudes too…I have trouble breathing if I’m hiking and it’s very high and I get headaches (warning sign right there)…I’m so glad you are feeling better!

  5. Correction to earlier comment–SOTF. I mistakenly was thinking Girls On The Fly, instead of Sisters. Ha! ?
