Road Trip!

“Officer’s Gulch”

“On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭145:5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

It was a quick over night trip but much was accomplished. After having a trying day on Sunday, yesterday was lovely. I stayed over with my brother friend and we talked till late. I felt much better with his perspective and listening ear. He fixed me Costa Rican coffee yesterday morning. We sat on the back deck with the beautiful views.

My rental car, a VW Tiguan, got excellent gas mileage…36.3mpg on the highway. Not bad for mountain travel.

I chilled out at a mountain campground waiting for my friends Linda and Jim to return from town.

I visited a mountain lake and spent a good time meditating.

And I saw the remnants of the Basalt fire before I headed back to Denver.

We cannot avoid the messes in life. But we can decide how we’re going to deal with them. I came out of that round feeling much better, all told. I just needed some time in nature. ❤

  1. Ginny how do you pick a pull vehicle? My camper weight 2300 and is vintage so harder to pull im told. So many decision and this is my first rodeo!

    1. You need to ask the dealer what the tow capacity is. 2300 isn’t a lot, but you want to be sure your vehicle is rated for at least 800-1,000 more than that to be safe. Remembers the things you carry with you add on a lot of weight. ❤️
