Rain, Rain, Rain!

I kept waking up during the night to the sound of rain on the tarp covering the air conditioner outside the bedroom window. I thought we might wake up to some snow, but it continued to rain all day. Those prayers I asked for last night helped. My brother was in the ER Monday night with flu symptoms and I was so worried about him. All of the tests they did on him were normal so they sent him back home. I did get a chance to speak with him for a few minutes when he was getting ready for bed. I was relieved to hear his voice, even though he sounded exhausted.

I contacted someone I’ve known for decades and asked if she could help my brother with some adapted electronics so we can FaceTime each other. Her daughter was injured in a skiing accident when she was five years old. Alice has dedicated her life to helping disabled people with technology to improve their lives. I’m looking forward to being able to visit with him more often. I think it will help both of us. With the weather as it is, and money being tight, I can’t get to Colorado to see him for a little while.

I spent the day crocheting a mesh market bag. We were keeping tabs on someone special who had surgery yesterday and were so relieved to hear she came through the surgery ok. That is the other person I asked for you to pray for. So thank you all so much for those prayers. They were most appreciated.

I put a pork roast in the oven mid afternoon and cooked it whole instead of cutting it up in chunks. I realized it would cook differently and when I was ready to serve supper, it wasn’t nearly done. We ended up having some leftovers and we’ll try again today. We’re supposed to get a lot more rain and some wind today so I’m blessed with another day to stay home and work on some projects. We actually saw some sunshine yesterday! What a treat!!!
