“Orvis Hot Springs – Ridgeway, Colorado”

What a delightful way to end my two week sabbatical. My friend, Sue, joined me yesterday. We soaked at Orvis Hot Springs. Interestingly, it is clothing optional (gasp!) and while I have no problem going topless, I could not go the full Monty. Which was a darned good thing because I ran into a little gal that I work with. While she is young and fit, I am….ummmm, NOT and I would have hated to be responsible for her having to seek therapy over the trauma of my nakedness! lol

After our soak, we headed into Ouray for a lovely Mexican food extravaganza. We hit some of the shops and what trip to Ouray would be complete without a stop at Mouse’s Chocolates? We went back to the room. I napped off my lunch while Sue read. Then we began the 100 Miles in 100 Days challenge. We walked 1.18 miles in the snow. She had me download an app by Nike called Nike+ Running which mapped out my walk, distance, and time. It even talks to you as you walk telling you when you reached a mile and what your time was. I think you can program it to cheer. I wonder if you can program it to go out for pizza or bring you some ice cream? No, wait…that would be counterproductive, yet an intriguing idea.

After our walk, we headed back to Orvis for a nice soak in the lithium waters. It was actively snowing by then and it was truly divine. We closed down the pool and headed back to the motel. We stayed at Riverside Inn and Cabins which is right on the river and is perfectly fine and affordable.

I am rested, refreshed, mellow and ready for my next move. I ordered a piece of equipment that will help me make my jewelry faster and it should be delivered at the first of the week. I have some orders to make and now I should be able to build up some inventory for art shows/sales.

I am stopping in Grand Junction today to talk to a woman about ways to make TOW-Wanda look like a vintage trailer. That should be interesting.

I am ready to go home. I am ready for spring. I am so grateful and I offer that as my prayer for today. Thanks for traveling with me…I enjoyed your company. We’ll be heading back out, you and I, on April 18th so stay tuned and be ready for more adventures!
