On the Road Again

Heading back to Denver today. I had a great week in the mountains. I visited my brother and friends. I rested and soaked in the hot springs pool several times. The interview with Kerry Hannon for the New York Times went very, very well. She was absolutely delightful and I would love to hear one of her presentations. She has written 10 books on women and jobs/finance. She’s a best selling author and I can’t wait to read one of her books as well. She interviewed me for an article she’s writing about widowhood and retirement…what I did right, what mistakes I made, and what advice I would give to a new widow. I’ll provide a link to the article when it comes out.

I had another treat yesterday. I came out of my dermatology appointment yesterday and ran right smack dab into my ex-husband. What a treat! We greeted each other with a hug and stood there and talked for an hour. He is such a good guy and it was a pleasure to catch up with him.

I’m really looking forward to getting together with the Sisters on the Fly this weekend at the Denver Fly Fishing Show. Sisters #1 & #2, Maurrie and Becky will be there and I can’t wait to see them and many of my other Sister friends. It was spitting snow last evening when I wrote this so I’m hoping the weather remains clear for driving. My trip is flying by too fast!
