On Being Alone

I love road trips. I love to drive because I do my best thinking behind the wheel of my truck. I work through all kinds of issues as the miles fly by. I have whole conversations with people and they always end up going my way. I make plans, solve problems, write stories. I do this best alone. Don’t get me wrong…traveling with Mr. Virgo was a hoot and a half! He always had a good story or a funny joke. He always spotted the best places to stop and enjoy a good view. Travel with Mr. Virgo was a joy! I know some don’t, but I travel well alone.

I drove to Louisville yesterday. I’m spending the next two days solid with a media consultant creating my new website. I’m really excited about it! The drive down was lovely. Rain coming out of WV and across most of Ohio gave way to sunny skies in Kentucky. It gave me six hours of fairly uninterrupted drive time. Eating was fine. Exercise was not but I did walk the steps to the third floor several times so that counts as something!

Stay tuned for more fun adventures! There’s SO much going on in the background that I can’t talk about yet but it’s gonna be awesome!

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like someone who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like.”

James 1:22-24 NIV
