Morning Visitors

Turkeys
“Morning visitors on Loghill.”

Yesterday was my ME day. I told Linda when we arrived that honestly all I was looking for was her company and a little R&R. We’ve been running around like crazy and I just needed to sit and visit on their beautiful deck overlooking these amazing mountains. I knitted and we all laughed and had a wonderful time. We couldn’t believe it when it was 1:00 and we hadn’t done a thing.

We were sitting on the the deck and heard something down below. I went and peeked over the edge and there were turkeys walking through the gravel drive below. These guys were huge. We’ve seen a lot of deer….even a little spotty baby bounding around. The first night, I woke up about 2:30 in the morning and wanted a little nosh. There was nothing in the camper, so I needed to go in the house. As I was climbing out of the bed, Mr. FixIt woke up.

Him: “Where are you going?”

Me: “I need some cereal.”

Him:

Me: “Do you think there might be bears out there?”

Him: “There could be.”

Me:

Me:

Me: “I’m not going.”

Him: “Ok.”

Me:

Me: “Drat! I’m hungry…I’m going.”

***coyote howling outside camper***

Me: “Come after me if I’m not back in five minutes!”

Him: zzzzzzz

Last night, I brought my cereal with me in the first place. There be beasts about!
