Moonrise

Too bad this photo doesn’t do last night’s moonrise justice but I had to take it with my cell phone. My good camera is under the couch in the back of the camper and just wasn’t accessible. It was a beauty!

I stayed the night near Columbia, Missouri last night. I’ll probably shoot for western Kansas tomorrow night to avoid severe storms predicted for tomorrow evening then slide on into Denver Thursday. I’ve been amazed how light the truck traffic has been but wait till tomorrow. It’s always bad in Kansas. Things are going smoothly. I took a break midway to see the Lincoln family cabin. Tourist services told me how to get there. It was about 20 miles off the highway. When I got there it was closed which was disappointing. I got back on the highway and just kept on going.

Feeling good, the truck and trailer are operating well, gas is a full dollar cheaper than when I came out in October and I’m getting one whole mile per gallon more than the last trip across country. My iTunes is keeping me occupied and the occasional phone call. Life is sweet!

“Pay attention and turn your ear to the sayings of the wise; apply your heart to what I teach, for it is pleasing when you keep them in your heart and have all of them ready on your lips.”

Proverbs 22:17-18
