“Misty Mountain Morning”

Love, love, LOVE misty Fall mornings! I arrived in Denver last night after a very LONG day. I could have gone home and started the trip this morning, but I am such a child at heart. When I’m going on a trip, I want to go n-o-w! I’m heading out on another nearly month long adventure, this time without TOW-Wanda. (I miss that li’l gal!) I got up this morning to the most beautiful misty rain. Reminds me of England. I’m hanging out at a very cool coffee shop in Cherry Creek. Ink! Great spicy green chili vegetarian burrito and really good coffee. Smoky undertones to it. I like it. Lots of folks out doing the same thing I am doing today. Conversation abounds! I’m heading to the medical office I used to work at on the off chance my doc can get away for lunch. Haven’t seen her in way too long!

I leave in the morning for West Virginia. I have a long stretch there this time and lots to do. I’m getting together with some cousins for another get-to-know-you-better picnic. I’m helping my aunt get prepared for winter after breaking her hip a few weeks ago. I get to hang out with friends whom I LOVE! We have a new baby in the family that I want to cuddle. And….my sweet fella is coming in for a few days in the middle. We are going to take his parents out to dinner. This part of the relationship, while wonderful, is a bit unusual. I mean, here I am, 60 years old and my “boyfriend” is introducing me to his parents! The last time I met the mother of a “boyfriend” was in 1978 when I met my second husband’s mother. When she found out I had been married before with a child, she told him to stay away from me. We ended up with an OK relationship, but it was never really close. This should be interesting and I’m really looking forward to it!

I’m really looking forward to seeing the colors change back home. I miss the myriad of reds, yellows, and oranges of a deciduous forest as it graces us with a show like none other. The camera is charged and so am I! I’ll get back to Colorado in the middle of October, spend a few days with family, and head home for a week. Then I’m off for another week…this time in Vegas with Mr. B!

Have a wonderful weekend and I will post beautiful pictures as I can. Internet and cell service is practically non-existent where I’m going. Not necessarily a bad thing!
