She lives across the country—but showed up to surprise me the day before I had my gall bladder out a couple of years ago.
I thought that was unnecessary, until I woke up in the recovery room. My first words on waking were “I want my mom”
Oh! What a blessing to wake again shortly to find her sitting there holding my hand.
