Looking in the Mirror

A day with Little is like spending time with myself at the age of 16. The similarities in our neurodiversity…or as they call it…neuro-spicy-ness is remarkable. We had so much fun junkin’ and found some treasures. I’ll take pictures tomorrow because I’m too tired to mess with it right now. But suffice it to say…we had a great time. Little is healing from a year of long covid and it was really difficult. We went out for brunch and then walked around the Brass Armadillo for nearly four hours which was a huge feat.

After I dropped Little off at home, I came on up to Ben & Sue’s. They had worked hard on the landscaping and quit when it got too hot. Around 7:30 or 8:00, a severe thunderstorm came through with lightning right overhead…FLASH/BANG! Several times. It was wild!

Little wants to come over today to learn how to knit. We bought some knitting needles and yarn at a thrift store so we’re all set. I also want to see Daughter #2 this weekend one more time. I can’t believe we leave in five more sleeps! It will make me sad, even though I am quite homesick.

I hope you have some fun summer plans this weekend and that you stay safe from the extreme heat! Stay hydrated!
