Living Large

Living large has such a different look now than it did even just a couple of years ago. I’ve been a single mother on welfare. I’ve been a doctor’s wife. And I’ve been in a moderately affluent marriage where the most valuable currency was love and attention. Honey, trust me…a housekeeper is nice but I’ll take the love and attention any day of the week over a new car every three years. Without question.

Now that I am on my own, I have learned to treat myself with that same tender loving care that Mr. Virgo lavished on me. And treating myself looks different as well. If something new comes in, something old goes out. There’s a delicate balance. I’ve sold or given away 90% of my possessions and I’m fast approaching ridding myself of that extra 5%. Unless you have done this yourself, you have no idea how liberating it is. I’m a turtle. My house goes where I go. I owe no one a dime. This has allowed me to be free to go where the mood strikes. My biggest struggle at this point is keeping things tidy in such a small space. I have a tendency to make piles so organization is a new skill I’m practicing.

What are YOU doing to live a LARGE LIFE?

“Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

Psalm 90:12
