After the death of my husband in August of 2015 the following summer I knew that I could not single tag two grandsons alone so decided to have each one visit a week on their own and we do do whatever each one likes which usually involves swimming part of the day. I also have a granddaughter now and make a week for her too
Visits make special individual memories. My grandchildren live between 2 1/2 hours and 6 hours away. This is a great way to make special summer memories with each. I remember summers with my grandma canning, helping to wrap pins so in the winter she would make rugs on her loom and snapping green beans on the back porch shade. Great memories.

I got a letter yesterday from our oldest grandson, who is in boot camp in San Diego. He talked about a couple of memories and one thing that he was doing that he knew was important to me. Sure do miss him, but am very proud of the young man he has become.
