Knit Two Purl Two

Loving these socks!

I’m just about finished with the first sock of the cute striped pair. It didn’t rain a lot yesterday, but it was pretty chilly so I stayed in all day. I finally finished downloading the graphics files out of the One Drive and put them on my external hard drive. Now I’ll clean it up, defragment the hard drive, and hopefully we’ll be back up to speed.

I was a little under the weather yesterday so I sent Mr. FixIt off to the birthday party alone. I hated that, but they went to a wing restaurant and I just couldn’t fathom the smells I’d be faced with. By the end of the evening, I was feeling much better so I’m glad I stayed home. I just hated to miss out on the fun.

I also worked on our Colorado trip yesterday. I love RVLife’s website. There is a yearly fee to use it, but it’s worth every penny. You can search the route you’re taking and find campgrounds along the way. Up till yesterday, I wasn’t really sure if we were going to tow the camper out this year, or fly. The biggest obstacle we face now in taking the camper is finding a place to store it while we’re in Denver.

I searched on the internet for storage yards that would let us rent a space for just a month. There weren’t any. They all wanted you to rent long term. I remember last summer thinking there surely had to be a marketplace where folks could rent out space to people who needed a place to park a camper, car, or boat. Sure enough, in that year someone came up with just that.

neighbor.com is great. You can put in an address or zip code and see all the homes that offer a parking place. You select one that you think would work, then apply for a reservation. If the owner accepts your application, the company charges your charge card and you can communicate with the owner through their app. Our second application was accepted and now we have a spot to put the camper just a few miles from where we’re staying. It cost a third of what we paid last year renting a campsite in a local campground. So, now we’re ready to start making reservations.

I’m heading to town today to attend an embroidery class in town. The Former Mrs. FixIt is accompanying me, which I always enjoy. I hope you have a lovely day and the weather is good for us all!
