Honey…I’m Home! Now, Let’s Go Camping!!!

Did you miss me??? I could hardly wait to get home yesterday! I always say “I need a break!” Then, when I get one, I miss my sweetheart like crazy. I did enjoy myself. I met up at an AirB&B with a couple of old friends from way back. We talked and laughed and ate great food and worked on our projects. I’m knitting a turtleneck sweater and made great progress on it.

I got home around noon and quickly threw the papers together that I needed to take to the Credit Union. Once we finished there, we took the check over to our new friend and picked up the new camper. Ohhhhhhh, I cannot tell you how incredibly happy I am to have the “perfect” camper! I made Mr. FixIt laugh when I said, “This is the last one…promise!!!”

She’s kind of a cross between Little TOW-Wanda and the Raffle Camper (the rPod 196) that I got to pull around in October 2019. She has a walk around queen sized bed. She has a slide out with a dinette in it. She’s got a cute little kitchen with a 2-burner stove and sink, a fridge, and a microwave. She’s got plenty of counter space. Not a lot of cabinet space, but there’s a ton of storage under the bed and under the bench seats of the dinette. The best thing of all? She has a bathroom…with a sink…and, a little TUB and shower!

Mama’s a REALLY happy camper now!

The a-frame is darling…really it is. And, if I was younger, I’d stick with it. The smaller a-frame was actually easier to get the top up and down. And I really LOVED the big windows and tons of light. But what really sealed the deal for me was twofold…a bathroom, and just being able to climb in and take a nap when I’m tired of driving. It’s the right size, only a year old, been camped in three times, and has everything we want. Win, win, win!

I “camped” in the field last night, and today we are heading to a nearby State Park to camp for two nights. We’ll put her through her paces.

Now…to come up with a name for her. Because…she HAS to have a name, right?! I think I’ll have to camp with her a little bit to see what fits. Stay tuned for lots of fun!!!
