God at Work

Power washer
“A power washer in use.”

It never ceases to amaze me at how God works in my life. He has His hand in every area of my life and I can prove it.

First…I had a little medical issue come up. Something we’ve been watching for a while and now it’s to the point of having to investigate further. When I first heart that news, I must admit, a flutter of fear went through me. That was the day “Betty” wrote to me and instructed me to WALK STRONG. To profess Victory over my circumstances because the enemy wiggles in when we profess fear, anger, anxiety. Ever since that moment, I declared there was nothing wrong with me. I gave it to God. Then Sunday night I went to Revival and had Pastor Matt and the folks gathered to pray over me and anoint my head with oil. He declared that I would go to the doctor and everything was going to be benign, that the tumors would even shrivel up.

I’ve read about faith healing before. I’ve heard the stories. I’ve seen charlatans take advantage of people and take their money. But, I’ve known Pastor Matt for a year now and I’ve come to know him as an honest, trustworthy young man and he has never steered me wrong. Yesterday, I went to the surgeon and he looked over everything and said there is only one tumor now and he is 99% sure it’s benign, but we’re going to biopsy it to be certain. Did the anointing change things? Did the prayer? Did my positive attitude and declaration change the course? Or, was the radiologist wrong? Or the family doctor? That is for you to decide. I will tell you this…I am a scientist and I would never ignore a lump in my breast and just pray it away. But the evidence is there…one of the lumps was clearly gone. And the other most assuredly benign. I’ll be happy to have that biopsy and hear that it is benign and all is well. Because, I serve a mighty God.

It’s not just big things like health that God delivers either. Just the other day, I asked Mr. FixIt if he had a power washer. He said yes, but someone had borrowed it and it never worked right since. He thought he would have to take it apart and try to find parts for it in order to make it work. I would really love to power wash the deck around the pool this summer and water seal it, but power washers are expensive. I figured we’d just have to wait another year. In my prayers, I always thank God for His provision of everything I need. Yesterday afternoon, we went to Aldi’s to buy groceries and there…in a GROCERY store…sat a stack of power washers for $149.99!!! Mr. FixIt and I just dropped our jaws and looked at each other. I smiled and said, “The Lord always provides for us, sweetheart. Get another cart!”

I love these stories. I love how these things just happen…over and over and over. It bolsters my faith and keeps me coming back for more. It emboldens me to share with you how absolutely cool God is. There was a time in my writing when I would shy away from ever speaking to you about such things for fear of alienating people. And every time I write these stories, two or three people stop following me. That’s ok…I’m not about the numbers that leave. I’m about the numbers that come. The ones who are led to the page for reasons they can’t even comprehend. Because that’s how God works. He leads us. He taps us on the shoulder. He whispers in our ears. It brings me great joy to listen and be obedient.

Happy May Day, dear ones! ❤

“And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

  1. I have always enjoyed reading your adventures. I only catch one every now and then. You bring me comfort and hope for the future. God Bless

  2. So thankful for your good report and giving praise for a dear friend who went through this same scare and also got a good report…lump was benign!

  3. Prayers for you and the biopsy. God is good, He hears our prayers, and always answers; not always the way we want, but for our best. We serve a mighty God. I, also, went through the same scare back last fall. God is good, it was nothing. It took several mammograms and odd positions, but there ended up being nothing there. And still nothing there. We serve a mighty God. Thanks you for always reminding us. You will be in our prayers, and if it is ok, I will share in our ladies class tonight at church, so they can be praying, too.

Amen to that. It is a joy to be obedient. Blessings.

  5. I do believe God hears our prayers. He is our Father and He cares about us. I have experienced God’s healing personally. I will keep you in my prayers❤️

  6. Love this verse because I can ask and imagine a lot. But He is able to do so much more!

    Good News Translation
To him who by means of his power working in us is able to do so much more than we can ever ask for, or even think of:
Praying for you that God continues to do so much more for you!

  7. I had the same type of thing happen to me today at Lowe’s. God answers even the smallest of prayers!

  8. Divine Healing is still possible. By His stripes we were healed and He is still the same yesterday, today, and forever. I’m so glad God healed you and all is well.
