Election Day

Mr. Virgo and I had different political viewpoints. Thankfully, it never interfered in our relationship as we could respect our differences and vote with our conscience. I have only been in one relationship where I didn’t feel my views were respected and it did not last long. Politics make strange bedfellows but if we can live with a spouse with totally opposite views, surely we can live with our neighbors.

I’ve never been so frightened, disgusted, embarrassed, and sad about any election. This has been an unprecedented display and I cannot tell you how relieved I am it is drawing to a close. We are likely in for a bumpy ride for awhile, regardless who wins. But no matter what, we’ve got to try to get along come Wednesday.

My sincere prayers for a peaceful transition. Please be safe out there today and spread some love around.

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you.”

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
