Eating my Way Through the South

Southern breakfast
“A Big Southern Breakfast”

Ok, I literally ate whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted it on this trip and I think I made the right choice. Life is too short. I don’t eat like this all the time…it was vacation!

The last hurrah was in Williamsburg, VA at the Capitol Pancake House. That name alone drew me in. But when I saw the parking lot was full, I knew we had stumbled on something good. I didn’t have to even taste this to know it was going to be over the top delicious. (This photo didn’t catch the short stack of pancakes on the side! Wow!)

I am telling you what…I learned how they spell “love” in the south. B-A-C-O-N! Or, it is G-R-I-T-S? Either way, this was the icing on the cake, so to speak. It was the best way to close out a stellar vacation. I didn’t have to do anything or be anywhere at a certain time for a whole week. I’m feel relaxed, refreshed, renewed. A huge thank you to Mr. FixIt for sharing so much with me…I had a blast! Thank you God for safe travels! And…truly, is there anything better than crawling back in your own bed??? ❤
