Do Not Be Afraid

It is no coincidence that this phrase is found 365 times in the Bible. God wants us to be strong in Him…to be fearless…to fear less. I’m here to tell you, facing life without that supportive one, that strong one, that helpmate and sounding board who is no longer there for you physically can strike terror in your heart. The worst thing is making the big decisions without the one person whose opinion you valued over all others. You aren’t alone in this. Everyone who has suffered loss struggles with fear, especially in the wee small hours of the night.

I am blessed to have connected with so many wonderful people through this page. I feel your love and encouragement from across the miles. I’ve even met some of you in person and I’m looking forward to meeting more of you as time allows. One woman I’ve connected with is on a journey of her own quite similar to mine. She travels in her little camper from place to place, navigating this grief journey as her labor of love. She is a sweetheart. She sent me a little song for the road trip to Myrtle Beach so I thought I would share it with you this morning. Just a little Happy Hump Day music. Go ahead…tap those toes…don’t be afraid!

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7
