Buddies!

One of the greatest things about spending so much time in West Virginia has be connecting and reconnecting with my high school friends…most of whom still live here. West Virginia is part of who we are. You can go away, but more than likely, you’ll be back.

This is my favorite picture from Saturday night. My partner in crime…Diane. We didn’t know each other in high school, but connected through Facebook. She’s the funniest woman I’ve ever met and I adore her. We travel to the big city of Charleston to attend live concerts at Mountain Stage. We gab and solve the world’s problems and laugh till we cry. She’s a hoot and a half, this one!

News from the battlefront…the exterminator was here and I’m writing this from the cemetery on Monday afternoon so you’ll have to wait till tomorrow to find out if the little blood sucking vermin have been eradicated. I was up at 5:00 hauling stuff up out of the basement, getting things up off the floor, and vacuuming up fleas and eggs and larvae. I took the vacuum cleaner bag out and disposed of it behind the barn. By 6:30 I was standing in the backyard cussing up a blue streak. I had to vacate the premises for four hours so I went to the greater metropolis of Harrisville on safari. I’m on the prowl for chocolate covered peanuts and wifi!!!
