Breathe…

I’m beginning to feel the crunch of time a little bit. There’s SO much to do before I head back to Colorado. We went from nice, spring temps to sweltering heat overnight so you have to make a mad dash in the mornings to get stuff done before it’s too hot. I don’t like the extremes of weather. If it was 65-75 degrees year round, I’d be a happy camper.

The other day I went on a bike ride. It was 85 degrees and there wasn’t a bit of wind. I managed to ride 45 minutes and that was enough for me. A little over halfway through the ride, I stopped for water and looked across the creek. The hillside was covered in redbud and dogwood trees. It was beautiful! It made coming out that far worthwhile.

That’s the way life is sometimes. You struggle along keeping your head down, determined to get through it. Then, when you stop and take a breath, you look up and find yourself surrounded by beauty. The trick is to keep your head up the whole time.

“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
