Another Day in Paradise

Pool in the sunshine

The wind was pretty cool yesterday so I only stayed at the beach 30 minutes before I chucked that idea and headed back to the hotel pool. This is a little slice of heaven right here. The buildings blocked the wind and it was really nice.

No meals out yesterday except for an iced coffee at McDonald’s. Didn’t drive the car anywhere either. I needed a lay low day since today I’m heading to Tampa to see a friend I’ve known for 40 years. I love the place I’m staying and it’s three weeks till the season starts here so it’s pretty reasonable, comparatively. It’s the size of a one bedroom apartment and really quite livable. I cooked dinner last night…pork chop, baked potato, and steamed broccoli.

After dinner, I walked down to the pier where I caught that great violinist that I posted last night. He was the nicest young man…Cal Morris. You can catch him on YouTube and on his website at www.calmorrismusic.com. I went out on the pier to catch the sunset and look at the wares of the street vendors. It was a beautiful evening.

So, one more day on the Gulf side and I head to the Atlantic. It has been so wonderful here. I’ve never really gone someplace warm during January-February and I swear, I will do this every year if I have to eat beans and rice to do it. This trip has helped with the winter blues…tremendously. I might bring TOW-Wanda down next winter and stay a while! ❤️

“Sunshine is sweet; it is good to see the light of day. People ought to enjoy every day of their lives, no matter how long they live. But they should also remember this: You will be dead a long time. Everything that happens then is useless. Young people, enjoy yourselves while you are young; be happy while you are young. Do whatever your heart desires, whatever you want to do. But remember that God will judge you for everything you do.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭11:7-9‬ ‭NCV‬‬

  1. So glad the weather has cooperated for your stay. Enjoy the visit with old friends. Yes we should never regret what we did today because tomorrow we may not have.
