Ain’t It Good…

To be back home again? Good gracious…it was 27 degrees yesterday when I went out to hook up TOW-Wanda! Wowza! It was a beautiful sunny day for a drive. The colors aren’t as fabulous as I had hoped because there have been a few frosts this week but it was still quite lovely.

I originally posted there was a death at Saturday’s Bridge Day when a B.A.S.E. jumper’s chute failed to open. Thank God that was in error. I made the mistake that is actually one of my own pet peeves and reported on something I saw posted without checking the date. It happened in 2006. Still, it is a thrilling sport with inherent dangers.

It will take some adjusting to the more seasonal temperatures here. We got absolutely spoiled at the beach the last ten days. I looked at my travel buddy when we pulled in and said, “We can turn around and go back right now, you know!” Ah, well….it will give me something to look forward to in the future. Right now I need to focus on writing and that will get done far more easily if I’m snowed in than it will at the beach…trust me!

“The sun rises and the sun sets, and hurries back to where it rises. The wind blows to the south and turns to the north; round and round it goes, ever returning on its course. All streams flow into the sea, yet the sea is never full. To the place the streams come from, there they return again. All things are wearisome, more than one can say. The eye never has enough of seeing, nor the ear its fill of hearing. What has been will be again, what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun.”

Ecclesiastes 1:5-9
