A Beautiful Day at the Farm

I woke up at 6:00 and thought…oh, no…I’m going to have to get up! But I fell back to sleep and didn’t wake up till 10:30! That’s more like it!!! Mr. FixIt called a few minutes after I opened my eyes. It’s uncanny…he “feels” me wake up. It doesn’t matter what time it is….he just “knows.” Before we were married and I was living out here on the farm, he texted me and asked if that bagel I had for breakfast was good. I hadn’t said word one to him about bagels…ever. But I had stopped at the store on my way home to the farm and saw them. I decided to buy a couple…and he KNEW! I accused him of doing video surveillance. lol

I really enjoyed “having coffee” with some of you yesterday. Let’s do that more often as it fits into my schedule. I’m thinking Wednesday and/or Saturday mornings. That would be so much fun! I am thinking of other ways to interact with you, too. Perhaps those of you who are “makers” would like to do a project with me. I’ll have to think about it more and see what I come up with.

The weather was gorgeous here yesterday, although still a bit cool. I was on the phone for an hour or two with my friend Alice out in Colorado. She was with my brother and we got the Amazon Echo 8 set up for him. Now we can have visits together and see each other! As a matter of fact, we video chatted with each other twice yesterday! He is so excited. I can send pictures to his Echo and he got a great kick out of that!

I worked on the market bag yesterday afternoon. I got an email from my dear friend Judy out in Colorado. She gave me a smocking machine last summer and that’s one of the things on my list to do so I think I’ll start watching some how-to videos on YouTube to refresh my memory. It’s been a very long time since I’ve smocked anything. I used to make smocked Christmas ornaments that are really beautiful.

I’ll be heading home later this morning or early afternoon. I do so love being out here, but I equally love going home to my sweetheart! I hope you have a blessed day!

”Don’t be obsessed with getting more material things. Be relaxed with what you have. Since God assured us, “I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,” we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me?“
