In reply to Carol Risser. Thank you so much for the reminder. I get hard headed and offended as well at my husband of 36 years! I needed to remember if I just strive to feed him and love him the way God loves me (and I know he does the same) then we will have joy and victory! Such a great word for me today!

The local wild birds gave me such company after my husband died. I know it sounds frivolous but the caring for another creature is “husbandry”–so I put out some bird seed. Watching these marvelous creatures in the early morning light, as they wake to go about their day-long search for sustenance, is what gets my day off to a good start. On cold days I watch from inside the house with my binoculars. They give me a lot of joy. They are truly something to marvel at.
