It’s so cold here too so I hate going out unless I have to. I did go to the Dr. For my regular appt. and all appears to be good, and then took the car for its first oil change. (I love my Subaru Outback) . But I also went through a huge pile of paperwork, quickly scanned a few magazines that I didn’t get to over the holidays and then tossed them. Thi morning I made choc chip cookies, and Poppy Seed Breads (more like a dessert than bread) and put together a Chemo bag for my friends first Chemo. She was just diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer in the lining of her stomach. Waiting for my vaca to Az. To see my Sister next week.

( “Save the….!”)I have to shred because it all has my name and address on it in several places. I think that’s done on purpose. Have gotten about half done and made a mess of shreddies all over! But its a bit cathartic, I must admit. Planning a trip to do some out-of-my-patch birding up the coast aways. Writing letters, and making small valentine’s pkgs to send out. Encouraging a previous co-worker, who is like me, surrounded by too much clutter–wondering if I ought to contact her sister (who lives afar) to help her out. Like me, my friend is having physical trouble getting regular cleaning done. Counting my yard birds every day and submitting to Cornell Uni’s e-Bird citizen science web-base. Starting up my rounds of servicing customers of the seed company I rep for. After 6 years of drought, people are gardening again.
