Even though I wasn’t much in the Christmas mood that year I knew my son, his wife and their two young girls would be spending Christmas with me so I put up my tree with the lights that had a remote control to turn them on and off. My husband knew how I loved to come home from work and see my tree already lit up. One day when I got home the tree was lit up. I thought one of the cats had stepped on the remote and turned it on so I stuck the remote in the little drawer of the side table. The next day my Christmas tree lights were on again. The remote was still in the drawer. There was no timer, only the manual remote control. I’m convinced that was him telling me he was there watching over me and wanted to brighten my day! There have been other signs over the years but this one sticks in my memory and my heart!
