The rules were different when I started mine. At the time, I could take mine then at 65 take my widow’s benefits, which is what I did. Now, if you go in to take your SS, you have to take the largest amount you are entitled to at that moment in time. I put off my widow’s benefits for four years and by taking it when I did, I sacrificed less that $75 per month and I was ok with that. ❤️

I’ve been taking Social Security for a couple of years, Debbie. This comes when you get closer to your 65th birthday. I’ve been getting ads from insurance companies for the last couple of months for the supplemental insurances. ❤️
