If it doesn’t work for a town, try the County. Or look for a local String (guitar) Shop. You will be instantly connected to the world of Americana or Roots music. Bingo.

Contra dancing is old time British line dancing, it’s SO MUCH FUN, and the music is almost always live, sometimes with famous touring musical groups. You meet locals and listen to live Celtic-roots music. Admission is nominal, and non-dancers are welcome. Be aware that you will be HIGHLY encouraged to get out on the dance floor. No partners needed. I think this would be a great Sisters activity!
