This story makes me so sad. This is exactly why I wrote this piece. Families and friends are being torn apart with this divisiveness. We need to start finding the middle ground. Thank you for sharing. That had to be every painful. ?

She assumed and accused me of voting a specific way. We both knew that we were middle of the line. She said very hateful and hurtful things that night. I said very little due to my shock. My one comment was for her to stop screaming at me in my home. She was an invited guest for the weekend. She stayed till time to go. Barely spoke to me. Hasn’t spoken to me since. I had to forgive and let her go. I did try to talk to her but she would have nothing to do with me. Saddest part…she was wrong. I owed her no explanation or truth. It was my vote to do with as I pleased.
