Or they may think they will tell you when they are ready and it never seems like the right time, or they just run out of time. He may have thought the next time he had a large sum, he’d take care of that debt so you wouldn’t worry about it. He may not have mentioned the relationship because it was still painful to discuss, or he thought you might hold it against him…who knows? As you said…does it change the big picture? No.
Credit cards…maybe it was to feel just that wee bit of independence that gives breathing room in a close relationship. It’s hard to say. I’m glad you aren’t letting it overshadow your life together. Hugs:)

Nothing clears the swirling of emotions these kinds of discoveries unleash like seeing it in black & white on paper.
