We must have been going through this around the same time. It’s been 1663 days for me. We was married 43 years, since I was 17. It felt like the weight of the dirt over his grave was covering me—I couldn’t breathe. In those days after, I never dreamed I could make it this many days without him, I never wanted to. It’s overwhelming some days trying to keep up a place alone and the loniness. Even though I’ve never had to shovel snow, I related to the feelings you had. ]]> By: Alaine https://www.marshmallowranch.com/he-loves-me-like-that/#comment-3584 Tue, 05 Dec 2017 10:57:13 +0000 http://www.marshmallowranch.com/?p=2103#comment-3584 Your gift of writing, brings words alive, even the simple ones…”like that”…I can’t even relate to your darkness, but was on the edge once, and don’t want to go there, but we all know we eventually will die…my hubby had an aortic aneurysm on December 27th, 2009, exactly one year to the day of his Mom’s death, and he survived, not one but two surgeries…one for repair and the second due to bleeding, to give him an artificial value. 1 in 10, his Dr. said…God has a plan, it did bring him back to church for awhile..Lord only knows what it is.. I’ll leave that last bit right there..read it as it’s intended! I’m grateful for what I have. Thank you Jesus!
