I totally understand this blog post. I have a 68 year old friend that mows a very large area and she too wears her headphones with her favorite playlist. She loves doing it and is disappointed when her husband does it. There is something about the solitude of mowing and being outdoors. I kayak and love the quiet solitude and being on the water. I also love hard physical work and plan to do it as long as I am able. As always, I relate to many of your posts and appreciate your sharing.
