Yes it is. The Littler baker was my Uncle Steve, they did call him Little Andy. My father was Melvin, so he would have known your grandmother. Greiner's had the best baked goods, Only Jr's is the only one now close to anything Greiner's made.

Thank you for responding, it was exciting to see that Greiner's Bakery is still remembered.

Oh, Roseann…Thank you for writing to me about Greiner’s Bakery. Wasn’t the little boy on the bread wrappers Andy Greiner? I know Patsy Greiner. We went to high school together. My grandmother was Mary Etta Roush. It’s truly a small world, isn’t it?

I was looking up some things on my family and was pleasantly surprised seeing this post of your grandmother and Greiner's Bakery. I too had fond memories of 2nd doughnuts and sometimes icing when dad would bring that home. See I am a 3rd generation Greiner of Andrew L Greiner. My dad Melvin worked the bakery many years and am sure he knew your Grandmother well. I do not know her name but maybe you would share with me. I new got a doll cake but i did ask dad for a white cake with blue roses! i was so happy.

Like you shared above, complicated family relations have a way of separating family, but in the end they are still yours forever.

I am not sure if you will answer but wanted to let you know i have those same pics wonderful memories to hold on to!

Sincerely Roseann Greiner Taylor.

Love love love this post! So many similar memories, especially the Toni perms and the silver dresser set, the dining room used as a sewing room, the low armless rocker - but also the complicated relationships, forgiveness, and reuniting with cousins. Thank you for your eloquent writing. It warms my soul. ❤️
