This is such a small town. I don’t know if it’s because I’m married to Mr. FixIt, but I meet a LOT of people who worked at Ames.

My grandmother was over the storeroom at 1, Juanita Stehly. She retired once and they called her back.
My husband retired with 35 years at plant 2 when they closed as a fork lift operator.
Also had a grandfather who was into sales mainly on the west coast. Step grandfather was a supervisor at plant 2. An aunt who worked in the plant 1 office before going the McKinley as secretary.
